Europa Clipper engineers using mixed reality (also known as augment reality, or AR) headsets to examine Europa Clipper’s avionics module assembly. The assembly consists of the spacecraft structure, various instruments, and mechanical ground support equipment. The mixed reality headsets look like wraparound sunglasses; unlike virtual reality headsets (which produce an entirely virtual setting), they have transparent lenses that blend the virtual and real worlds together.
